GROUP DISCUSSIONS

hello,

During this peak time of placements i guess all are really working hard with the aptitude questions, take a lil time off to relax yourself and read on and get to know abt the skills sets to face the group discussions.

  • First and foremost thing is that you need to have a good body posture.keep your hands on your thighs. Though you may be in a state of tension and it is visible in hands, this goes unnoticed.

  • As soon as the GD starts, try to make the opening statement if you are confident, if u are not confident then wait for others to start. If u are very well versed with the topic and you start off, chances are that you are noticed faster.

  • Once you start speaking try to maintain eye contact with all your group members from time to time when you are speaking, do not look at the HR by any means.

  • Try not speak irrelavent from what the topic demands.Healthy examples are appreciated.

  • Do not shift from for the topic to against the topic or vice versa frequently as it may lead to a bad impression.

  • Eye contact and body posture reamin the the lucrative elements of a successful group discussion talk.

  • Be a good listenener, since at any point of time you may be asked to conclude or to comment on the other person's points.

  • Try not to have too many pauses in the talk.

  • If you see your group member has a point who is not able to put it out. Try to get him or her a chance to speak. This could mean a plus point to you.

  • Maintain good attitude to your fellow member in the group and also have sufficient confidence in the face. This could be a plus point.

  • Last but not the least, Maintain fluent language and use proper vocabulary in your talk.

ALL THE BEST.

ALWAYS REMEMER IN YOUR HEARTS THAT YOU DESERVE THE APPRECIATION AND YOU ARE THE BEST.
